We pulled a surprise on my amazing boss today. I'm really, really glad he has a good sense of humor. We had a running joke about how he wouldn't wear a Seneca T-shirt for our current promotion. As part of the gag, someone photoshopped his head onto a pic of the t-shirt. Then it escalated to copies of this pic appearing at many many desks in the Call Center.
Today, we all showed up to our meeting wearing T-shirts with the picture. We also provided cake and a card to say how grateful we are that he puts up with our crap everyday.
I have been playing some World of Warcraft again. Tonight I cleared a bunch of things from my bank vault and put them on the auction house. I am hoping to have enough money to get the last part for my Mekgineer's Chopper if all the auctions sell.
Also, I have submitted an entry for Alison Tyler's latest contest. You can check it out here. Once it's up that is, for understandable reasons, AT must approve all comments before they appear on the blog. The contest ends 9/5, so the poll for voting will probably go up 9/6. I'll be in Myrtle Beach at that point, so if you think of it, please go and vote for me.
That's all for tonight, I am going to bed.

The Spirit of Jazz
I am waiting for a load of laundry to dry and listening to the jazz station on Mom and Dad's digital cable. I think I need some jazz CDs, they would be awesome to listen to while writing.
I got the new loan for the Toyota today, Northwest is sending out the check to Toyota today. After that, only a few steps left in this dance.
Plans tonight: go home, hopefully play some WoW. Maybe work on some writing. I've got a few old pieces I might pull out and try to finish and polish up.
Plans tomorrow: Blissfully nothing so far. It's great running and seeing everyone, but it's also exhausting!

Why is the Internet always finding new ways to occupy my time?
There are blogs to read, facebook to update, myspace to update, NeoPoints to earn, and now, Twitter. It's all Grey's fault really. He jumped into the wonderful world of social networking with both feet, so now I have ended up with a Twitter account as well. The only thing I haven't done is activate it so it can be updated from my phone, because we don't have texting on our cell plan. Plus I'm really bad at texting.
I had a great weekend. I played a lot of World of Warcraft, and yesterday we successfully surprised Kelli with lunch for her birthday. And I just remembered I left my leftovers from lunch yesterday in the fridge at home, instead of bringing them for lunch today as I had intended. Doh! Oh well, it's pasta, I am sure it will be good tomorrow night for dinner, as Jeff has class. The semester is almost over, and we are taking a short break together the first weekend of May.
So sleepy... I wonder if I can convince my boss of the benefits of a siesta?
Buenos dias!

Wii Fit Age: 23!
I have been using my Wii Fit for 17 days now. I haven't lost any significant weight yet, but I do feel tighter, stronger and more toned, esp. in my abs. I ordered some more fun stuff for the Wii, Super Mario Galaxy and Link's Crossbow Training with the Wii Zapper. I love shooting games. Jeff ordered a couple things too, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and a charging station for the controllers.
We've been playing more World of Warcraft, the latest patch to the game added some new content. I have nearly achieved the cooking achievement, which will give me the ability to use the title "Chef" in-game.
Life is good, the sun is shining. It's a good day.

Zombie Dreams
I was going to include an awesome screenshot with this post, but WoW is down. Last night I had a dream we were in Eastern Plaguelands killing Scourge. The people in this house were infected and more and more zombies kept spawning. And I was me and not my character, so Khorium Rifle, no Horsemen's Blade, no super cool goggles. I had a rapier I was slashing at them with, while trying not to get infected.
I've got to get the house cleaned up this morning. We have Adam coming this weekend, and it's Halloween :-) Should be a good time.
Maybe I can take the screen shot later.

Prindle Training, Week 1
Starts today. Technically, this is Prindle training #2, We already have 12 people trained. I'm not really nervous, just dreading the sheer amount of work and stress that the next two weeks has in store.
Will be talking to Kelli today to see if she can do Wednesday without me. I really want to come to Edinboro. I need to be with people who recharge me and relax me.
Jeff and I had a great weekend. We played World of Warcraft, my draenei paladin complete the quests for her epic paladin mount. We also did some PVP together in Alterac Valley. We cooked nice meals together yesterday. We had a big beautiful roast with carrots and potatoes for supper that I will be eating again for lunch today.

Brewfest!
Brewfest for World of Warcraft started today. Adam, Harriet, Artie, Jeff and I went down to Black Rock Depths to take out the leader of the Dark Iron dwarves, who are attacking the festivities (and taking our free booze) every half an hour. Being drunk in WoW is fun. The screen is blurry and you can't control your movements very well, especially in flight, but your character never gets a hangover.
Went to Olean with Artie and Harriet today as well. The Steve and Barry's in the Olean mall is closing, so I got a couple new shirts on the cheap.
It's probably past my bedtime, so I'll wind this up here.

More work?
Work has been interesting this week. Once again, we can't accept credit cards. About a month ago now, we lost the ability to process MasterCard orders. We converted a lot of those customers to Visa. Now we have to tell them we can't take their Visa either. The customers aren't too happy. This contributed to the following quote from my friend Dawn, which made me do one of those arched back, belly laughs at the ceiling.
"Sticks and stones may break my bones,
But I have all your cigarettes!"
Lazy day at home, most ambitious activity so far has been shoveling and sweeping off the cars. We got a pounding from the snow last night. Jeff's copy of Risk: Godstorm also came in the mail today. I think soon he may be looking for someone to play with.
I was feeling a little under the weather yesterday, doing better now, thanks to 12 hours of sleep.
Back to World Of Warcraft now I think. I am working on getting my warrior to level 70. I have couple things left to do in Hellfire Peninsula and then it's on to the Mushroom Forest... I mean Zangarmarsh.

(Does anyone else remember this book besides me? It was awesome!)

It's been a month again, so I figure it's time to post
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with their families yesterday. Jeff and I went to St. Marys and had turkey, mashed potatoes, etc. at his Aunt Sue's house. Today we are going to Ellicottville to shop with his family and also eat.
I've been playing a lot of World of Warcraft lately. The recent patch made it easier to get from level 20-60, which is great, because those are the levels that didn't really get new content from the expansion, so they are kind of boring if you already have a level 70 character (or 2 or 3. I don't know where some people get the time!) So my warrior, Sampsa, has gone up 5 in the past 10 days or so, I'd say. She's currently working on Un'Goro Crater, Winterspring and Silithus. Actually, as I am typing this, she is flying from the night elf capital back to Un'Goro Crater (great area, volcanoes, dinosaurs, tar pits) to collect dirt to do a quest that increases your reputation with the night elfs. I want one of the night elf mounts, which are a big cat, and I am not going to get a night elf character to level 40 anytime soon.
Work is going better, they are going to change my scheduled to Monday-Friday until January to see "if it meets the needs of the business." I wanted to point out that me being dissatisfied and looking for a new position would also not meet the needs of the business. I think the problem is I know too much. It's handy to have me there on Sundays for them because then I can answer questions about mail, do the logging spreadsheets for the Admin team, and answer help desk calls from the phone reps while the managers are on break. I'm like a pseudo-manager that they don't have to pay management salary for. I didn't even apply when they opened the last two Team Lead positions, because they were for weekends and evenings. I'd like to see my husband and friends, thank you very much!
Anyways, Sampsa should have landed in Silithus now (desert area, ruins, big insects) so I am back to WoW. Merry Part and Blessed Be!

I think this one is pretty dead on. :-)
I have been quite ambitious today, I think getting almost 10 hours of sleep last night helped. I did Yoga when I got up, and took a 40 minute walk after dinner. We are having fun with Brewfest in WoW. You have to be drunk off your ass to see the pink elekks (elephants) and wild wolpertingers (bunny rabbits)!

Level 70 Biznitches!
Tonight, my hunter Kharasa, on the Eldre'Thalas server, reached Level 70. That is currently the highest level available in World of Warcraft. I also got a cool flying mount, an ebon gryphon. I killed many, many demons, and now I have about a dozen things to sell in the Auction House.

Your Confectionary Sins
Is this
A) The title of a bad novel
B) The name of a band
C) A new sweet shop
D) Some random thing Jeff said I thought was funny.
Answer at the bottom of this blog post
A lot of things happening here. We were in Lebanon last weekend and I went wedding dress shopping with Lacy. I really really like the one she is going to go with, it almost makes me want to have a second wedding (to the same groom, of course!) so I can have something exquisite and gorgeous.
Jeff applied for a new job and has his second interview a week from today. He gets a much better schedule if he takes it, but less money. But the new schedule would help him go back to school for his Masters.
I also applied for a new position at work, my team lead Maureen is leaving. I am sad Mo is leaving, but I am excited at the chance to advance. I just want management experience on my resume. I turned in my application and resume yesterday, and another one of the team leads I like, Juli (she is also a Sims 2 freak), said, "Oh, I was hoping you would apply!" So I hope that is a good sign!
Anyway, I think I am going to play some WoW. I want to get Kharasa's mining skill to 300 so I can stay in Outland. Also, I want to do some fishing in Zangarmarsh.

Update!
Sorry I haven't posted in over a week folks. I can't blog from work anymore, and we've been so busy at work that I don't even want to type when I get home. I have started a new WoW character, a blood elf hunter on the server Quel'Thelos. We ran out of room on Eldre'Thalas. Blood elves are hot.
A lot of stuff has been happening with other friends, but I figure, if you know them, you've already read their blogs. I do want to pass along some good news. Lisa, a friend of mine from West Forest, just had all of her scans come back telling her she is now completely cancer-free. So congratulations to her and her fiance, who has stood by her and supported her through her treatments over the past year.
I visited Michelle and her family yesterday. They've moved to the Kiwanis Court apartments on Bushnell St in Bradford, but I didn't know which apartment. But it was nice yesterday afternoon when I got home from work, so I went for a walk. I thought I could find her car, and then maybe there would be a mailbox, or a bell marker to tell me where to find her. But it turns out I didn't need to look for that, because as I was walking into the parking lot, Michelle's husband and her little girl, Sophie, were heading out to the store. So I got pointed in the right direction and I got to surprise Michelle. Hopefully we can see more of each other now that she lives within walking distance.
We also started a new D&D campaign. Jeff has had campaign written for an evil party for some time now, so last weekend Adam, Vita and I made up characters. They are both playing necromancers. Adam's character is an androgynous human, kind of like a Final Fantasy character. Vita is playing an orc necromancer. I am playing a half-ogre fighter named Kitta. We are currently staying in the Capital of the Empire, the city of Ankrada. One can find anything in Ankrada, for a price. Ankrada is also home to a great Arena, where my character has enjoyed viewing the gory, bloody violence. Our characters in Jeff's regular Thursday night game also discovered the wonders of the Arena. They signed up for some battles and won some gold, which is always nice. My bard, Tana, did not join in, as bards are not strong combatants.
I think that is enough of a post for now. Tomorrow I am going to Port Allegany to visit Jess, Aaron, and my adorable nephew, Aidan. Merry Part and Blessed Be!

I love Outland
Where gold falls from the sky like rain drops... I've made 50 gold just doing some quests in Outland the past couple days. Maybe that epic mount isn't as far off as I had thought... I've played in Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, and I've gotten a peek at Terrokar Forest. I was thinking of picking up one of the Worgs in Terrokar Forest as a new pet, but I have noticed that my bear isn't leveling very quickly. It's probably because they don't get quest XP. I think I need to do some grinding to help them level. And grinding is good, because grinding = gold.
Well, that portion of the post really only made sense to anyone who plays World of Warcraft.
Although I am loving my Burning Crusade, I find that the PS2 is singing a siren song to me. It's accompanied by my co-worker Jason, who is playing Dragon Quest VIII. It sounded really fun, and I liked Dragon Warrior VII for the PS One, which was made by the same people. Then I looked up the X-Play review of Dragon Quest VIII and it got a 5 out of 5 from Morgan and Adam, which is rare. So now I think I must get it, although I'm going to have to figure out how to go without sleep to play a new RPG, Warcraft, and work at the same time.
Well I am at work, so that's all you get for now. Merry Part and Blessed Be!

You want drama? Forget TNT!
Come to work at Synergy Business Management! Today, the beotch who got our cool call center managers, Jeremy and Dan, fired, came back to work. She will now be working in I&O (inventory), even though there weren't any positions open there (that we were aware of) I'm quite sure Amber ran to Jim and said she was being abused, etc. Really, unless stuff was happening outside of work that I'm unaware of, she was just being ignored. And there is nothing that bothers attention seeking little beotches more than being ignored. The group of people she'll be working with now are also really unhappy about having her Snitchiness forced on them. So, with a little luck, hopefully we'll be seeing the back of her soon.
Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out!
I've also brought my Llewellyn 2007 Witches Calendar into work. It's gotten a couple compliments. I think I need to order a 2nd one for at home.
Burning Crusade comes via UPS today, don't look for any updates for a while. I plan to start 2 new characters, a dranei and a blood elf. Plus, now my level 60 hunter can explore the new area, Outland. It's going to be so awesome!
