201st post!

I was going to just post about the dream I had last night before work, but then I realized I made my 200th post last night! *whistles, confetti, fireworks*

A TV show is prime for syndication at 100 episodes. I wonder what happens when a blog gets 200.

Anyway, last night I dreamed about World of Warcraft. I must be jonesing. Hopefully I get out of work early enough today to play some. I only remember creating a new horde character, an orc warlock, and running around a bit. I think my dream was set after the expansion, Burning Crusade, comes out, because there were Dranei and Blood Elves in my dream.

Anyway, gotta finish my tea and head out so I can stop at the post office on my way to work.

Tip for happiness: See pictures in the clouds.on my way home from work on Thursday, I saw a sperm whale, a funny hat, and a cloud bank that looked like coral caves.

I had a dream Wednesday night that Jeff and I were walking in the woods and found an abandoned town. There were old railroad tracks running through it. As we were looking in the windows of abandoned houses, there was one house with really nice old antique looking furniture in it. The door was open, so we went in to check it out. Then we found people in the house. At first they were all young kids, ranging from age 4 or 5 up to age 16. There were probably a dozen of them. They were sitting at a big table, eating a meal. Once we saw the people, the house looked more poor and dingy. I wanted to hide from them and sneak out of the house, but I think Jeff wanted to observe them. We found the kitchen of the house, and there was an older woman there. The kitchen was a very small room, the appliances looked older, like they were from the 50's or 60's. The woman seemed to be in her late forties or early fifties, but she had kind of an ageless quality. She was cooking for all the kids, and working online. She sold things on E-bay, things she found, and things she made. We talked to her for a while (can't remember what about) and we were about to leave when a short, fat, dark-haired man came in. He was yelling at the woman in another language, either Spanish or Italian maybe. He seemed greasy and dirty and he was wearing a stained tank top and pants that were unbuckled. I think he was drunk. He pulled out a gun and was going to shoot the woman. We tried to stop him and he turned the gun at us, and Jeff took it away from him, quick as a flash. We started to run away, and the man had another gun. He was shooting at us, and I ran behind Jeff, trying to protect him from the bullets. The last part of the dream I remember was jumping on Jeff's back.

Definitely a strange dream, and one I think I want to examine the symbols of more. I think the woman with all the children was a Crone/Goddess symbol. She lived in an old house, in an abandoned town, with old appliances, but her livelihood was thoroughly modern. I'm not sure what the man was supposed to symbolize. I think they were the most important things in the dream, considering that even almost 12 hours after waking up, many of the details about them are fresh in my mind.

I have discovered the exotic belly-dancer within

I spent all afternoon listening to Laundry Service by Shakira at work. There's this great song with an Eastern, belly-dance rhythm to it called Eyes Like Yours.

So I came home and put on my flowy skirt and hip scarf and did my Basic Dance video. I was going to try the Mystic Dance video, but as I thought, that one teaches veil work and I don't have a veil or anything that could be used as such. I need to get 3 yards of sheer, lightweight fabric.

I had a great dream post yesterday, but Blogger was not working, so I posted it at my MySpace page. I'll repost it here so you don't have to go over there unless you want to.

Bonus!

You Are Bart Simpson

Very misunderstood, most people just dismiss you as "trouble."

Little do they know that you're wise and well accomplished beyond your years.

You will be remembered for: starring in your own TV show and saving the town from a comet

Your life philosophy: "I don't know why I did it, I don't know why I enjoyed it, and I don't know why I'll do it again!"

I'm not sure why I took this one, as we all know I HATE Valentine's Day with a passion. I think it's because I like candy hearts, and they are the only part of participating in that fake, Hallmark holiday that I miss.

Your Candy Heart Says "Hug Me"

A total sweetheart, you always have a lot of love to give out.
Your heart is open to where ever love takes you!

Your ideal Valentine's Day date: a surprise romantic evening that you've planned out

Your flirting style: lots of listening and talking

What turns you off: fighting and conflict

Why you're hot: you're fearless about falling in love

I think that's all for now, my exotic belly-dancer within wants water.

Dream Blog

This morning, in between the time Jeff got up to leave for State College and the time I had to get up for work, I had a dream that Grey and I were in a play together. Our scene had nothing to do with the rest of the play, which seemed to be Pride and Prejudice type British play. Neither of us knew our lines, so I was trying to find a way to hide the script in one of my props, but I couldn't find any copies of the script backstage. I saw Allison backstage, but she didn't see me, she was laying behind a curtain playing a GameBoy? The play was being staged in the high school gym at West Forest.

So I'm in West Hickory with Keely, mom and dad are off enjoying a mini-vacation for their 30th anniversary. Jeff is in State College getting re-certified for his holding down crazy people training (it has some official title, like the name of the system they use, but I can't remember it) Keely had a grilled cheese sandwich for supper, and she is watching the Rascal Flatts DVD she got for her birthday. Bedtime soon, we're going to pick up Jeff in Bradford tomorrow when he gets back from State College. I talked to him on the phone earlier, he sounded pretty tired. I talked to my sister Lacy on the phone for about an hour, which was great.

I think that's all for this evening. This computer is not what I would call reliable. Any comments on the new template? Anyone? Bueller?

Back in the hip scarf

I started bellydancing again today. I did the Basic Dance video from the Discover Bellydance set. It was fun, the moves are ones I'm pretty familiar with from their other tapes. Once I got to the end and where it goes through the routine twice, once with instructions and once with just music, I rewound it and did that part again. I've got to start doing something again. I don't like the way my shirts are riding up over my tummy, or how big my thighs are. I want to be able to buy a new swimsuit I actually like the way I look in for North Carolina, dammit. So I want to start alternating Bellydancing with Pilates again. That seemed to work well, especially for my tummy.

I got out of work early today, which was nice. I had some Chinese food for lunch, and I didn't get cheese wontons, so I was proud of myself there.

I haven't had any coherent dreams since my last dream journal post, just snatches of things here and there. I had one of those dreams this morning where you're dreaming that you're already awake. Except I was awake and I couldn't seem to move. I could hear Jeff moving around in other parts of the house, and I tried to call out to him, but I couldn't make any noise, and I felt very lethargic and heavy. I rolled out of bed (in the dream) and was stuck on the floor. I really hate those dreams.

I think that's all for now. I may add more later on. Back to World Of Warcraft.
