Yet More Blogthings

You Are a Log Ride

You prefer to live a fairly calm, relaxed life... with a few surprises thrown in.
You don't tend to get yourself worked up easily. You can roll with what life throws at you.
In relationships, you are steady and solid. You maintain a pretty broad perspective on what's going on.
That's not to say you can't get swept away. You're emotions run as deep as anyone else's.

Your life seems like it has been remarkably easy so far. But that's due to how you manage it.
You never stretch yourself too thinly, and you think out your decisions carefully.
Taking the time to enjoy each day is important to you, and you don't let your emotions rule you.
You stay the course and do what's right... knowing it will all work out in the end.

At your best, you are tolerant and understanding of other people's quirks.
You take "go with the flow" to the extreme. Even if you don't like where you're going.
At your worst, you repress your feelings and end up being a little tightly wound.
You definitely have some explosive emotions that occasionally come to the surface!

The Movie Of Your Life Is A Cult Classic

Quirky, offbeat, and even a little campy - your life appeals to a select few.
But if someone's obsessed with you, look out! Your fans are downright freaky.

Your best movie matches: Office Space, Showgirls, The Big Lebowski

Your Seduction Style: Siren / Rake

You possess an unbridled sensuality that appeals to many.

The minute you meet anyone, you can make the crave you almost immediately.

You give others the chance to lose control with you... spiraling into carnal bliss.

A dangerous lover, you both fascinate and scare those you attract.

I don't think that one is true, personally.

There's a 36% Chance You've Been Abducted By Aliens

Even though you have a few alien abduction signs, you're almost certainly in the clear.
However, if aliens ever do come to your neck of the woods... they'll probably be coming for you!

You're pretty pure, and you have no plans on changing that.
You do have a devilish side though... and it will probably get the better of you.

Artie wins!

Last night Artie and Harriet came over to hang out. We had pizza subs from Parkview, and played Star Munchkin. Artie was playing the Bounty Hunter class, which has gives you the ability to resurrect the top monster from the discard pile when you discard your hand. He kept bringing back the level 1 Chair and beating it, and there was nothing Harriet, Jeff or I could do to stop him.

This is his victory dance:

And I told him I would blog about it and so I have.

Waiting for Lacy and Jay to get here. Looking forward to Alumni weekend.

Passion and Power

I thought this was a great little video, it was posted on the GoodVibes blog. It's a promotion for a documentary based on a book called The Technology of Orgasm. From what I can tell, the book follows the history of how vibrators were developed, first as a cure for women's "hysteria" at the end of the 19th century. This is a topic that has long interested me, I definitely believe that a healthy and active sex life contributes to overall better health and well-being. If you interested in learning more about the history of vibrators, check out the Antique Vibrator Museum at Good Vibrations.

Level 70 Biznitches!

Tonight, my hunter Kharasa, on the Eldre'Thalas server, reached Level 70. That is currently the highest level available in World of Warcraft. I also got a cool flying mount, an ebon gryphon. I killed many, many demons, and now I have about a dozen things to sell in the Auction House.

Charging dice

Artie and Harriet came over tonight and we played Werewolf. Harriet and I discovered that exposing your d10s to breasts seems to help them roll more 10s. I felt that this information needed to be shared.

Today was my friend Jason's last day with Synergy. I really hope he likes his new job and I know he'll do great there. The only bright side is that they did post his position, which I applied for today, and that would be Monday-Friday.

I am watching South Park and I am disturbed. Stan is the reincarnation of L Ron Hubbard.

Anyway, just a brief note before bed. Going shopping with my mom in Erie tomorrow.

Yes, I am still alive

We are currently watching Cash Cab on the Discovery Channel. I want to go to New York and take cabs until I get in the Cash Cab. I think I would rock at it.

Things are going okay at work. My friend Jason is done on Friday, so I am kinda bummed about that. We are finally all caught up on our work, but a new month starts next week, so we'll be swamped again.

I'm looking forward to Alumni Weekend. Lacy and Jay are coming up, and I have a shower to go to for my cousin Jen on Sunday afternoon. She is getting married in November.

I really don't have a lot to write about, I guess that's why I haven't been writing. Still doing my Yoga about 3 times a week, feeling strong and flexible.

Off to the Sims 2 site now to see if there are any new downloads, then I will be playing World Of Warcraft. My hunter is getting close to level 70.

Hi folks

Arthur and Harriet are over making up characters for Werewolf. We had a beef roast done in the slow cooker with veggies for dinner, and after we make up characters we might play Super Munchkin. Since my character is already made up, I am stealing a moment to blog.

No overtime at work this week, so my hands are back to normal. Played some Sims last night. I discovered that vengeful widow ghosts can actually scare the new wife to death. Pretty freaky stuff.

We are going to West Hickory tomorrow night to see my family, we will be back sometime Saturday. Yoga is going well, I hope to get some pictures of me in some poses to maybe share, or just for my own records of my progress.

That's all for now. Merry Part and Blessed Be.

I blame work.

We've had mandatory overtime at work the past 2 weeks. I blame that for my lack of updates.

Found a video on YouTube I thought people might like. I also updated my myspace layout.
hands hurt from typing, that's all I am posting for now.

Rain, rain, go away

It's not that I don't like rain, I normally do. A rainy day is a great day to cuddle up with your special sweetie, or join him in all day fest of questing and killing things in World of Warcraft. But yesterday it rained, and I really wanted to take a walk, because Adam is here, and he will actually walk with me. So no walking. We did go to Pizza Hut and had the lunch buffet. They had macaroni cheese. It was pretty good, if you like Velveeta, which I do.

Back to work today, I am hoping they announce who got the team lead position today. I don't think I did. I had a dream where Grandma Eb and Mom came to tell me I hadn't gotten the position. And I generally believe every Gram tells me in a dream. At least now I am prepared if I don't get it, I can be gracious and congratulate whoever does.

Today is Jeff's last day of work at BRMC. Then he is off til he starts his new job on Monday, 8/27.

Time to get dressed for another cold, rainy day. I hope the parking lot at work isn't a mess. It's a bitch to walk across normally, and worse when it is wet.

Stardust

Jeff and I went to Olean today to see Stardust. It was a lovely fairytale, with a really good cast. Nice special effects, some comedy, and romance. In short, right up my cinematic alley. Robert DeNiro was especially hilarious as Captain Shakespeare. Michelle Pfeiffer was a very scary witch, but the magic was just awesome. And some of the most subtle magic turned out to be the most powerful.

Back to work tommorrow. I hope they tell us who got the Team Lead position soon.

I am still loving Yoga, it is teaching me how to listen to my body better, and this evening I was doing a forward bend (hands flat on the floor, knees straight but not locked) and looking at my thighs from that angle, for once they seemed strong rather than chubby. At some point, I'd like to get some pictures of me doing Yoga. I wish I had a big mirror so I could see if I am doing the poses correctly.

We're watching our favorite shows on the Travel Channel, Bizarre Foods and No Reservations. Then it's time for bed.

Feeling accomplished

I am feeling particularly accomplished today because I not only got up and did Yoga before work today (which was about 5 hours of overtime, cha-ching!) I also walked/jogged for 20 minutes or so out at the trail on the Pitt campus when I got home from work. So I am feeling very fit right now.

I haven't heard anything back yet about my interview for the team lead position at work, they said they would try to let us know this week.

Your Confectionary Sins

Is this

A) The title of a bad novel
B) The name of a band
C) A new sweet shop
D) Some random thing Jeff said I thought was funny.

Answer at the bottom of this blog post

A lot of things happening here. We were in Lebanon last weekend and I went wedding dress shopping with Lacy. I really really like the one she is going to go with, it almost makes me want to have a second wedding (to the same groom, of course!) so I can have something exquisite and gorgeous.

Jeff applied for a new job and has his second interview a week from today. He gets a much better schedule if he takes it, but less money. But the new schedule would help him go back to school for his Masters.

I also applied for a new position at work, my team lead Maureen is leaving. I am sad Mo is leaving, but I am excited at the chance to advance. I just want management experience on my resume. I turned in my application and resume yesterday, and another one of the team leads I like, Juli (she is also a Sims 2 freak), said, "Oh, I was hoping you would apply!" So I hope that is a good sign!

Anyway, I think I am going to play some WoW. I want to get Kharasa's mining skill to 300 so I can stay in Outland. Also, I want to do some fishing in Zangarmarsh.

Oh, and the answer is D. :-)

New acquisitions!

Tonight Jeff and I went to St. Mary's to have dinner with his folks and get a new cell phone. We ended up coming home with two. We now both have our own lines. If I haven't already called you, please call for my new number. Jeff's is the same as it was. Dinner was great, and I helped with the fish. It was tilapia and it was yummy.

I also went to Edinboro yesterday and saw Allison, Grey and Jessika. Al brought me back yummy smelling body/hair gel from England. It's from a company called Lush and the smells I have are called Tramp and Sonic Death Monkey. I am excited about using them tomorrow morning. :-)

We also went to Erie and had lunch at Tops Buffet and went to Books Galore. It is the only bookstore I know with a used New Age section. I got 2 new witchy books for $14, and a hardcover book on Yoga for $6. I love that store!

So that is all for this evening. I am currently working my way through the Harry Potter books so I can be ready for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows next weekend.

300!

Tonight, we dine in hell!

Not really. This is my blog's 300 post!

TAG

I got myspace tagged by Kim, so I am reposting it here too, since many of you non-conformists I am friends with have not succumbed to myspace madness.

TAG!
Hi everyone! I have been tagged by Kim, and I am supposed to share 10 random or little known facts about myself, and then make 10 more of my friends do the same.

The problem is I don't know if there are 10 little known facts about me, since I am pretty much an open book, but we will give it a go.

1) I practice the nature-based religion of Wicca, and have been for over 9 years now.

2) I almost joined a sorority 3 times, I attended open and closed rush for all three of the social sororities at UPB.

3) I was a cheerleader

4) I read tarot cards

5) I play golf

6) I workout by doing Yoga and sometimes belly dancing.

7) I startle very easily.

8) I talk in my sleep

9) I have been watching ABC Soaps since I was 5.

10) I would love to teach sex ed, I think people need to be informed about sex, not only so they are safe from disease, unwanted pregnancy, etc, but so they can enjoy it to the utmost. Knowledge = orgasms. "All acts of love and pleasure are my rituals" - Charge of the Goddess.

And I am supposed to TAG 10 more people so:

1. Molly

2. Danielle

3. Megan

4. Hilary

5. Vita

6. Harriet

7. Lisa

8. Jess

9. Steve

10. Roxanne

I have been listening to Avenue Q a lot, and I am really loving belting out "You Can Be As Loud as the Hell You Want (When Your Making Love)" in the car.

Quote from Harriet last night

"I was inspired by your cruel wisdom" - to Jeff, regarding her death house in Sims 2.

Artie ran D20 Star Wars last night, and we had a lot of fun. We broke into an apartment looking for information on a scientist building something for the Empire and had to fight our way out through a bunch of security guards. I am playing a Twi'lek again.

It's been a pretty good week at work, they took my team off the phones so we could actually do our own work!

Short post today, I want to play some Sims 2 before Jeff gets home. I am trying to let Jeff and I become elders, but it's hard. I don't want us to age and die, but I also have things I want to do with the next generation of Sims.

Merry Solstice! One day late

I should never start a blog entry saying "there's been nothing to blog about" again. Because yesterday I got a ticket while I was in Warren taking Postal Exam 460. I was done with the test, feeling a little fried, and on my way to Youngsville to see my Aunt Ann and hopefully catch lunch with my cousin Danielle. And I got pulled over doing 60 in a 45 in Starbrick. Luckily though, the trooper, Office Cumberland, seemed to sense my frazzled state, and cut me a little break because of it. I also discovered that apparently, in the state of Pennsylvania, you are supposed to notify PennDot and update your license within 15 days of moving. So instead of nailing me for the address on the license and my speeding ticket, he just wrote the ticket for the address. So my ticket is not for a moving violation, I get no points on my license, and it will not affect my insurance. So thank you, Officer Cumberland, of the Pennsylvania State Police, for your compassion and kindness. I plan to go into the DMV tomorrow to update my license. They are only open on Tuesdays and Saturdays in Bradford.

I think the post office test went well. The only part I am concerned with is the memory section. I think I did well on everything else. I had a good time having lunch with Danielle, we went to the Galley in Youngsville, and I had a pizza sub with garlic butter and it was delicious.

On my way back to Bradford, I saw something that made me very sad. A female pheasant got hit by a car and was flopping around in the middle of the road, and her mate was dodging traffic trying to get to her. It just made me think of how lost I'd be without Jeff, or how he would be without me.

Then I came home and read for a while, talked to Lacy on the phone and tried to clean the house a bit since the Bleach Fairy herself is coming to visit this weekend. Then we had roleplaying, and took on a camp of orcs and goblins. The leader ran away, and came back riding a cyclops with a platform attached to his upper body, the platform bearing a one story building, two ballistas, and BlackSpear, the orc leader. We ended there because it was getting late, so we are all looking forward to next week.

I think that's all for now. Plans today include going to the Flickerwood Winery to pick up some Sweet Angel Red. Lacy and Jay won't be here til later this evening. I am thinking about building their Sims a sweet ass house.

16 days and no update.

It's been over two weeks. Nothing has happened that I felt the need to blog about. I have gotten back into WoW and Sims 2 is starting to lose its appeal. Work is work-like. I have been having fun bellydancing with Harriet. Today we tried a Cardio-Salsa DVD. It is fun, but I think their living room is not quite wide enough. I am going to propose that our Monday workouts become Cardio Salsa day and we do them at my house.

I gained back 1.5 lbs at weigh in this week. I am a little pissed at myself. Why did I have to have a waffle cone for lunch on Sunday, and eat a ton of Dip, with cheese and pepperoni? Oh yeah, cuz they were yummy.

Anyway, just a brief shout to say, I'm still here, I still exist!

It must be summertime

I was just going through my friend's blogs, and of the 7 or 8 of them who have them, only 2 have updated since Memorial Day. All that nice weather makes it hard to sit inside at a desk. I know, since that's what I do all week for work. I have made it through Phyllis Currott's Book of Shadows, which I bought in Erie last week, and I have started reading a book on Astral Projection and Anthony Bourdain's book, Kitchen Confidential. I really liked Book of Shadows, rather than being another Wicca 101 book, it is the story of what brought Phyllis, who was raised in a academic/atheist family, to the religion of the reawakening Goddess, and the story of her life during the year she was training for initiation.

I am about 100 pages into Kitchen Confidential, and it is hilarious, but I don't recommend reading it if you are squeamish and like eating out. I had friends that worked in restaurants in high school, and I decided a long time ago that I don't really care what goes on in a kitchen as long as 1)my food tastes good, and 2) I don't get miserably ill.

Today looks like another day of Sims 2 and World of Warcraft here. It should actually be cool enough today that our office won't be like a big convection oven. (no opening windows, 2 PCs running)
