Dream

Dream 11/14/2009 waning moon in Scorpio

The dream - A man, older, pretty sure he had a beard, was asking me if I'd ever made a wand. I told him I had, but it was a simple one, nothing like the tools he had. He handed me a large quartz crystal, about 10 inches long, nearly 3 inches in diameter, single terminated at one end, rounded on the other. It was heavy and cool in my hand.

I just remembered this as I was reading All One Wicca. I was reading about different paths that can be taken as your practice and commitment deepens.

I've been focused very much outward lately. Worrying about other people's problems. When I've tried to help others by being there and listening, I end up exhausted, worn out. Focusing inward tends to bring on a feeling of panic. I've been traveling on the weekends so much because I don't like being on my own for hours at a time. The quiet at my little house begins to seem creepy and ominous instead of peaceful.

It's time to start replenishing myself and caring for myself in healthy ways. I need a focus. I told someone once that if there's a hole inside you, you can't fill it up with someone else. You have to fill it with yourself. So I guess it's time for me to listen to my own advice and really start doing that, instead of trying to distract myself and pretend it's not there.

The New Moon is Monday. Goals to accomplish between this New Moon and the next -

1) Start exercising again.
2) Stop drinking pop, thereby cutting my caffeine intake considerably.
3) Create and perform ritual for the Full Moon (the main moon ;-)
4) Read more - requires more active thinking than just watching TV or movies

Wish me luck...

My story was accepted!!

My story, Wednesday, was accepted by the Good Vibes online magazine! I am so excited. :-) It is going to be published under a nomme de plume, of course. It will be on the site in a month or so. I am very excited.

In other news, I have been working out on my Wii Fit. Tonight, Jeff has class, so I will probably work out for an hour.

Yesterday, we had a catered lunch at work from The Old Library in Olean. My job freakin' rocks.

Also, I had a strange dream last night that I was living in the Old Gardens at Pitt-Bradford. I had a big dog, who was always licking my face to say hello and standing over me to protect me when she saw someone she didn't like. The dog looked like my friend Janis's dog.

That's a brief update, more to come at a later time.

Cool Dream

I had a great dream about food this morning. First, I was at the premier of a Pirates of the Caribbean video game in New York City. Johnny Depp was there, and when we left the theater, I was munching on a big Rice Krispie treat. When we got outside, a street vendor selling frozen yogurt was giving everyone free treats because he was a big Johnny Depp fan. My frozen yogurt was purple, with green and purple dinosaur candy in it. They had two other flavors I remember seeing and wanting to try: Hispanic Giraffe and Turtle Tat. (like a turtle tattoo) Then Anthony Bourdain wanted me to come eat donuts with him at this festival in another part of town. He said he had stopped eating other donuts because these ones were so orgasmically good. We took a train and ate donuts.

I woke up drooling.

Dream Blogging

I had a odd dream last night that my manager Tom was leaving and no one knew. We found out last minute and Pam was running around planning a going away party. He was sitting at my desk talking to me and I had to hide my reaction when Pam came around with a list for the party and asked my opinion on it.

Terrible headache this morning, I think I need to take some Sudafed and Tylenol. I am hoping I am not getting my annual sinus infection again.

Our friend Adam is visiting this weekend. We had a good time last night carving pumpkins and playing Arkham Horror. And this year, our pumpkins didn't get smashed.

I hope everyone else had a fun Samhain/Halloween or whatever you want to call it.

Making up for lost time, calorically speaking

I felt pretty crappy most of today. I slept like crap last night. I had one of those dreams where your teeth fall out. I realized it was a dream on about tooth number two, but I was too out of sorts to take control of the dream and go elsewhere.

I was nauseous all morning and into the afternoon, so I ate very sparingly.

That is until Jeff went to DQ and came back with a pumpkin pie blizzard and a mint oreo blizzard.

Now I feel nauseous again.

But my tastebuds are happy :-)

I dyed my hair tonight, we'll see how it turns out tomorrow after I wash it. I am fighting a losing battle against gray hairs and also against all the times I dyed it red. Now the red on the ends bleeds back through. But I did buy some new shampoo specifally for dyed hair, so hopefully it will help me keep the new color.

Going to bed at 10 tonight, and taking a Benadryl I want 8 solid hours and no screwed up dreams tonight.

At the fair

Last night I dreamed I was at a fair with Al and Austin in England and I played a game where you shoot a bb gun at balloons. I did pretty well, and the balloons I shot got pinned to my shirt like trophies. We also had Nerf gun battle, with BFNGs, (that's Big F'ing Nerf Guns) One of them launched big orange ring that had points, it looked like a Nerf energy weapon (kind of hard to describe).

Trying to keep a dream journal again, since I have time in the morning a few days a week now. I got out my Faerie Oracle yesterday and did some work with that. I also tied a string to the single terminated quartz crystal I got a Mohr and More in Erie and made a pendulum. It gave some interesting answers. I do think though that if I am personally invested in the answer, if I have an opinion on it, it affects the pendulum's results. Either it tries to tell me I'm right, or sometimes it gives me the answer I'm afraid to see.

Had to give my Wednesday off this month up to the AJ Prindle gods for a refresher training day. Next month I'd really love to go to Erie and see some friends on that day. Fall is coming, Mabon is just over 3 weeks away. Normally I feel sad to see summer go, but this year I am looking forward to the cooler weather, the leaves changing, etc.

Off to exercise and try to do some writing this morning. Working 12:30 - 9 today.

Rain, rain, go away

It's not that I don't like rain, I normally do. A rainy day is a great day to cuddle up with your special sweetie, or join him in all day fest of questing and killing things in World of Warcraft. But yesterday it rained, and I really wanted to take a walk, because Adam is here, and he will actually walk with me. So no walking. We did go to Pizza Hut and had the lunch buffet. They had macaroni cheese. It was pretty good, if you like Velveeta, which I do.

Back to work today, I am hoping they announce who got the team lead position today. I don't think I did. I had a dream where Grandma Eb and Mom came to tell me I hadn't gotten the position. And I generally believe every Gram tells me in a dream. At least now I am prepared if I don't get it, I can be gracious and congratulate whoever does.

Today is Jeff's last day of work at BRMC. Then he is off til he starts his new job on Monday, 8/27.

Time to get dressed for another cold, rainy day. I hope the parking lot at work isn't a mess. It's a bitch to walk across normally, and worse when it is wet.

Erie Trip, Dream Blog

Jeff and I decided to go to Erie yesterday rather than Tuesday since Tuesday morning we have to have Adam back in DuBois at 8 AM. So we started out by at Borders, as Jeff and I still had a gift certificate to spend from Christmas. Then we ate lunch at Red Lobster. I had the crab meat fettucine alfredo, and Jeff and Adam both had Harborside Trios, which included a lobster tail and some excellent shrimp scampi. Then we went to the mall. Jeff and Adam went to the cigar shop while I started shopping for new clothes for work. Our new dress code goes into affect June 1st. I started a Macy's and found a dress and a pair of flat black shoes I liked, but a lot of the other things I liked were just way too expensive. So Adam and Jeff found me, and then we went to JC Penney's, which is better anyway since the one in Erie is bigger than the one in Olean, so it has more selection, but I can return things to the one in Olean if they don't fit right. So there I got a new pair of khaki capris, a pair of nice light khaki pants and skirt that were made of the same material. I also got 2 new polo shirts, and 3 light weight sweaters. Then we stopped at the Shoe Department and Payless, because I wanted another pair of sandals with a closed toe to wear to work this summer. Adam also found a new pair of sandals, which he put on immediately after leaving Payless, as his old ones were pretty well beat.

After that, we headed out of the mall and went to Dick's Sporting Goods, where I found a new golf bag on sale for half the original price. It's so sharp looking, it's red and black, my favorite colors. Jeff also found 1 pair of golf shoes in the entire store to fit his big feet, so we bought them too. Then we drove up to Tinseltown and got tickets for Pirates of the Carribean, At World's End. The theater was completely sold out, luckily we found three empty seats right at the end of a full row before the show started, so the ushers didn't have to ask us to scoot down. This was in one of the bigger theaters at Tinseltown, so the seats are on a steeper rake then in most theaters. My feet were actually behind the head of the person in front of me, so I had a full view of the everything on screen. I'm not going to talk about the movie a lot now, I know a lot of my friends probably haven't seen it yet, and I don't want to give out spoilers. I will say I throughly enjoyed it, and I would like to see it in the theater again. And we will definitely own it.

After the theater we went to Outback Steakhouse. I had never been there before. Our steaks were awesome, and so was my beverage, a New South Wales Sangria. It was like alcoholic fruit punch. Jeff also tried a Newcastle Brown Ale, which he enjoyed. After that, we headed up Peach St. towards home, but the light at Krispy Kreme was on, so we had to stop for dessert. We only bought half a dozen, which were killed between the three of us on the car ride home.

All in all, a fantastic day with my wonderful husband and my favorite son. I would have liked to have called Allison and Grey, but we weren't sure what time the movie would get out, or where we would end up eating if Outback was really busy, so I didn't call, and I am sorry! Hopefully I might be able to see them today, since I know they always go down to the Farm for Memorial Day.

Oh, this was supposed to be a dream blog too, wasn't it? I had a dream that I was jumping from the mouth of a cave, and I fell a long way, into a perfectly still, clear pool of water that was reflecting the full moon. I want to hang onto that image, as I think it will be a powerful one for meditation. Also, I dreamed I was doing fun things with a character from Nip/Tuck, and it's not the one you may think!

That's all for now, we will be going to West Hickory today to see my family. Tomorrow is Keely's birthday. Merry Part and Blessed Be!

Angel

Dream blogging again. The main thing I remember about last night's dreams though is that I was looking for Angel at Pitt-Bradford, and there were all these nerds standing around comparing notes on him. And I do mean nerds, not geeks. All of them were wearing thick black glasses and talking about Angel like he was a comic book hero. And a lot of the stuff they were saying was wrong. Like they kept saying he had an alter ego, like Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne. I also remember in this dream that I was singing "If You're Not In It for Love (I'm Outta Here)" by Shania Twain in an elevator, and dancing and watching myself on the security camera.

Having a great weekend so far. Yesterday, my parents and Keely and Jeff's parents came up to Olean to have the brunch buffet at the Old Library with us. It was yummy, I had a Belgian Waffle with thick hot fudge, strawberries amd whip cream. Even Keely ate a good bit, although she is very picky, and she asked every member of the waitstaff that went by us when her grilled cheese sandwich was coming. After we got home, we called Artie and Harriet and went to Mystic Water resort in Limestone to shag a few balls at the driving range and to play the mini golf course. The mini-golf course was very hard, a lot of angles and very fast. Artie won, but he only beat me by 4 strokes. Then we went to Togi's for dinner. We hung out at there house for a while and Harriet and I browsed fun things at one of my favorite websites. After that I came home and Jeff playing some Destroy All Humans while I got my Sims 2 fix for the day.

And onto my Sims 2 fix for today! Merry Part and Blessed Be!

Dream Blogging from the new bed

I had a long kind of strange dream early this morning. It started at some kind of fair, where people wore costumes. I saw 2 little girls dressed as bugs, one was a big blue beetle and the other was a blue and purple ant. From there, I was being rushed along a hallway, I got the sense that I was underground, in a subway system maybe. I was being pulled along by Jason Bateman, who I think was playing his Arrested Development character, Michael Bluth. We were going down some stairs when I noticed a funny door along the stair case. There was a tiny sign next to the store that said "Ye Old Records Shoppe, Golden Memories" When we forced the door open, the space dropped down beneath and we had to step on top of a refrigerator and a recline to get to the floor. There was an older man than, who at first looked like Jeffrey Tambor, also from Arrested Development. He looked more like Oscar than George Sr. though. There were all these strange old things, and a lot of things that looked like junk. There was a little wind-up diorama of a lumberyard or something, where you could see the little logs moving through and different little figures chopping them up, smoothing them out, and pushing them into a water way. At this point, Jeff (my husband) was there with me, and as we looked around, I realized that the store was full of things I had lost over the years. I found one old notebook with story ideas in it, mixed with doodles and school notes from college. But some of the things were changing, even as I looked at them. I picked up a picture of a little girl with glasses and flipped it over, and on the back it said "Jen, 1990" before the text faded and the picture disappeared" And I got worried. I said, "that wasn't mine, am I not supposed to be with Jeff? Did something go wrong?" And I was jumping and stomping around until there was thunder from the back of the room and monitor on an old computer on desk went black and then lightened again. The shop owner (still played by Jeffrey Tambor) said, "now don't get angry young lady, why don't you just sit down and rest a minute" And I fought him for a bit longer, but I did then sit down in an old plaid recliner in a dark, dusty corner. When I opened my eyes, Jeff was standing in front of the computer screen, which was now showing a dark sky filled with stars. I came to stand next to him, and the shop owner said to me "Now the only light you have in there to guide him is this," and he pointed to the diamond on my engagement ring. We seemed to be getting ready to skidoo, a la Blue's Clues, (Blue Skidoo, we can too!)
into the computer screen.

After that, we were underground in a coffin, and I think we were being played by Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. They were both dry and corpselike, kind of like Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin's characters in Beetle Juice. We were trying to pile up other coffins to climb out. That was the end because my alarm went off.

That's all for now, I have to head to work. Merry Part and Blessed Be!

What happens down in Mexico...

Apparently happens in my dreams. I had a dream shortly before waking up this morning that I was in this little Mexican neighborhood. I was following two men, and we went into this little house. The men ordered two beers and I ordered a tequila. The drink the women in the house prepared for me was strange. It was savory and cold, a brown and frothy. It had tequila in it, and garlic, and lime squeezed into it. Once I started drinking it, I head back out into the crush of people and found one of the men I had been travelling with. He was leaning over a beautiful young woman who looked like Natalie Portman. Maybe it was Natalie Portman. She rejected his advances, but seemed very interested in me. We were planning to go back to my seedy Mexican hotel room when I woke up.

And after I woke up and got around, the first thing I saw on TV was a Tempur-pedic commercial. Jeff and I are seriously discussing getting one once our tax refund comes in. And I just had the thought while writing this that if I have a more comfortable mattress, maybe I wouldn't wake up just when my dreams were getting interesting!

Flying in an airplane

I had strange dreams again last night. In one, Jeff and I were going on a trip with my parents. My parents were flying in a little two man plane, and I had to follow them in my plane. I also had another dream with a plane where I was visiting Grey and Jessika, and one of the rats playing in the grass, then he knocked on a window to be let back inside. We went outside to let him in, and a silver plane flew over head with a red dragon painted on it, with Al's initials as the signature. I think she might have waved from the plane. I got the definite impression she was saying "hello!"

We watched the Riches on Monday and it was great. I highly recommend it. I don't want to say too much about the plot or I'll be giving things away. Eddie Izzard is wonderful, so is Minnie Driver, and I like the young actors playing their 3 children. Watch, on Monday at 10 on FX if you can. Also, you can catch the pilot again at 10 tomorrow.

Getting ready to eat dinner so I will end this here.

Tiny Green Puppy

I dreamt I was in a house with lots of black cats. All of them were trying to rub up against me and jump in my lap. I was trying to avoid them. I didn't want my allergies to act up, and I was a little afraid of them. The cats became more and more aggressive, jumping off of furniture into my arms. Jeff was sitting in the room watching TV and he kept telling me to calm down. I ran out of the living room of the house into the kitchen. The kitchen was kind of small, the walls were of shiny wood, polished oak. There was a little green puppy on the floor, eating out of one of the cat bowls. I picked him up and he fit into my hand. He had long ears, and he was light green and his hair was very short. He crawled into my sleeve and laid down. When I pulled him out of my sleeve, I found out he'd left me a little puppy present in there. But I wasn't angry, because he was adorable.

When I woke up, I thought the puppy was a fairy puppy.

I also did a Faery Oracle reading before bed last night. It was the only card deck I could find. I think the faeries are hiding my other decks. I drew O That Gnome, Faeries of the Future, and the Topsie Turvets.

The reading indicates that something is stirring, and there's an opportunity ahead. I just need to be able to plan wisely and take it. I have to take action to take it, it isn't something that will fall into my lap. The Topsie Turvets also indicate that I need to be prepared to look at things from someone else's point of view.

Okay, at work so this ends here. Merry Part and Blessed Be!

Switched to the Beta

So I switched to the beta. We'll see how this goes. I was putting it off mainly because I had to create a google account, but it wasn't too bad. Things are going well at work. I'm currently working on processing mail. We were talking about spelling tests in elementary school. I miss those, they made me feel really smart. At home, I've started doing my Yoga and Pilates DVD again. I definitely feel full of energy and at the same time very calm and centered when I'm done with it.

I had a funny dream this morning, I was on a pirate ship trying to kill a captive and he kept moving at the last second so I couldn't stab him. Then the scene changed and I was on a golf course with Jeff (I think still wearing pirate clothes) We were running to catch up with everyone at the next hole, and I yelled to Jeff to hurry and he Blinked ahead of me, as Slogdarr, his mage from World of Warcraft. When we got to the hole, there was mageroyal, a herb that you collect in WoW all around the green. And Artie's character, Arten, the gnome warlock, was there, in his little green and gold Cromatic Order tabard. It was definitely strange.

Anyway, at work so I'll end this here. Merry Part and Blessed Be!
