Artie wins!

Last night Artie and Harriet came over to hang out. We had pizza subs from Parkview, and played Star Munchkin. Artie was playing the Bounty Hunter class, which has gives you the ability to resurrect the top monster from the discard pile when you discard your hand. He kept bringing back the level 1 Chair and beating it, and there was nothing Harriet, Jeff or I could do to stop him.

This is his victory dance:

And I told him I would blog about it and so I have.

Waiting for Lacy and Jay to get here. Looking forward to Alumni weekend.

Charging dice

Artie and Harriet came over tonight and we played Werewolf. Harriet and I discovered that exposing your d10s to breasts seems to help them roll more 10s. I felt that this information needed to be shared.

Today was my friend Jason's last day with Synergy. I really hope he likes his new job and I know he'll do great there. The only bright side is that they did post his position, which I applied for today, and that would be Monday-Friday.

I am watching South Park and I am disturbed. Stan is the reincarnation of L Ron Hubbard.

Anyway, just a brief note before bed. Going shopping with my mom in Erie tomorrow.

Quote from Harriet last night

"I was inspired by your cruel wisdom" - to Jeff, regarding her death house in Sims 2.

Artie ran D20 Star Wars last night, and we had a lot of fun. We broke into an apartment looking for information on a scientist building something for the Empire and had to fight our way out through a bunch of security guards. I am playing a Twi'lek again.

It's been a pretty good week at work, they took my team off the phones so we could actually do our own work!

Short post today, I want to play some Sims 2 before Jeff gets home. I am trying to let Jeff and I become elders, but it's hard. I don't want us to age and die, but I also have things I want to do with the next generation of Sims.

Merry Solstice! One day late

I should never start a blog entry saying "there's been nothing to blog about" again. Because yesterday I got a ticket while I was in Warren taking Postal Exam 460. I was done with the test, feeling a little fried, and on my way to Youngsville to see my Aunt Ann and hopefully catch lunch with my cousin Danielle. And I got pulled over doing 60 in a 45 in Starbrick. Luckily though, the trooper, Office Cumberland, seemed to sense my frazzled state, and cut me a little break because of it. I also discovered that apparently, in the state of Pennsylvania, you are supposed to notify PennDot and update your license within 15 days of moving. So instead of nailing me for the address on the license and my speeding ticket, he just wrote the ticket for the address. So my ticket is not for a moving violation, I get no points on my license, and it will not affect my insurance. So thank you, Officer Cumberland, of the Pennsylvania State Police, for your compassion and kindness. I plan to go into the DMV tomorrow to update my license. They are only open on Tuesdays and Saturdays in Bradford.

I think the post office test went well. The only part I am concerned with is the memory section. I think I did well on everything else. I had a good time having lunch with Danielle, we went to the Galley in Youngsville, and I had a pizza sub with garlic butter and it was delicious.

On my way back to Bradford, I saw something that made me very sad. A female pheasant got hit by a car and was flopping around in the middle of the road, and her mate was dodging traffic trying to get to her. It just made me think of how lost I'd be without Jeff, or how he would be without me.

Then I came home and read for a while, talked to Lacy on the phone and tried to clean the house a bit since the Bleach Fairy herself is coming to visit this weekend. Then we had roleplaying, and took on a camp of orcs and goblins. The leader ran away, and came back riding a cyclops with a platform attached to his upper body, the platform bearing a one story building, two ballistas, and BlackSpear, the orc leader. We ended there because it was getting late, so we are all looking forward to next week.

I think that's all for now. Plans today include going to the Flickerwood Winery to pick up some Sweet Angel Red. Lacy and Jay won't be here til later this evening. I am thinking about building their Sims a sweet ass house.

We bought a new bed today!

Jeff and I went to Mattress City Sleep Shop in Foster Brook and purchased a Tempurpedic DeluxeBed. I am so excited! I tried all of my normal sleeping positions, and they were all very comfy. (Couldn't try any other positions, as there were other people in the store). It will probably be delivered next Wednesday (not 2 days from now but 9) I can't wait to see what kind of interesting dreams I have when I get a more restful sleep every night!

Adam and Vita are coming over to do some evil deeds with me in Jeff's D&D game. It is a very interesting game, the group dynamic in an evil party is very different than the dynamic in a good/neutral party.

Gotta go, Merry Part and Blessed Be!

Update!

Sorry I haven't posted in over a week folks. I can't blog from work anymore, and we've been so busy at work that I don't even want to type when I get home. I have started a new WoW character, a blood elf hunter on the server Quel'Thelos. We ran out of room on Eldre'Thalas. Blood elves are hot.

A lot of stuff has been happening with other friends, but I figure, if you know them, you've already read their blogs. I do want to pass along some good news. Lisa, a friend of mine from West Forest, just had all of her scans come back telling her she is now completely cancer-free. So congratulations to her and her fiance, who has stood by her and supported her through her treatments over the past year.

I visited Michelle and her family yesterday. They've moved to the Kiwanis Court apartments on Bushnell St in Bradford, but I didn't know which apartment. But it was nice yesterday afternoon when I got home from work, so I went for a walk. I thought I could find her car, and then maybe there would be a mailbox, or a bell marker to tell me where to find her. But it turns out I didn't need to look for that, because as I was walking into the parking lot, Michelle's husband and her little girl, Sophie, were heading out to the store. So I got pointed in the right direction and I got to surprise Michelle. Hopefully we can see more of each other now that she lives within walking distance.

We also started a new D&D campaign. Jeff has had campaign written for an evil party for some time now, so last weekend Adam, Vita and I made up characters. They are both playing necromancers. Adam's character is an androgynous human, kind of like a Final Fantasy character. Vita is playing an orc necromancer. I am playing a half-ogre fighter named Kitta. We are currently staying in the Capital of the Empire, the city of Ankrada. One can find anything in Ankrada, for a price. Ankrada is also home to a great Arena, where my character has enjoyed viewing the gory, bloody violence. Our characters in Jeff's regular Thursday night game also discovered the wonders of the Arena. They signed up for some battles and won some gold, which is always nice. My bard, Tana, did not join in, as bards are not strong combatants.

I think that is enough of a post for now. Tomorrow I am going to Port Allegany to visit Jess, Aaron, and my adorable nephew, Aidan. Merry Part and Blessed Be!
